Sad innit?
Big town like this and what are the clubbers talking about?

a private house party
pub night in shifnal
jobs
a shrewsbury event
a family photo
a really old thread
a birmingham event

I mean no disrespect to any of these threads, fair play to you for doing something...my point is how sad it is that there isnt a thriving clubbing scene in a huge ever expanding place like Telford.

Nedge is on the outskirts of Stirchley, over the road from any houses so noise should be less of an issue than Churchills, it has a big car park and a its at the base of Nedge Hill which has a picnic area, great for chilling out sessions afterwards. A 24 hour garage is in walking distance for munchie missions too.

I've had a chat and in principal he's up for it, just gotta nail down the winning formula to get cool punters in and keep the wankstains on society out, and a workable band/dj procedure so everyone gets a fair chance to play and the paying punters get a good night of eclectic entertainment.

Everywheres the same dude, theres no shortage of bell-ends over this way trust me, trick is to make the place as uncomfortable and unappealing as possible to them, yet somewhere where the people in the know want to be.
Quite how thats achieved fuck knows, still working on that.

I would recommend Manchester or Liverpool

Avoid London like the plague. It will turn you into a cunt

Heard being the keyword there. I heard the sky was orange and smelt of coconuts... doesn't mean it's true.

Every time I've been there it's been OK.

what is it with Telford and DJ's being on "contracts" hahaha

in all my years managing nightclubs i never ever came across a DJ on a contract

I think what Matt means is the bloke who does the discos in there leaves his gear in there between gigs so he is the resident dj by default, i doubt (unless an agent is involved) a written contract has been drafted.
Legally a verbal agreement can be a "contract" - if i take a telephone call booking a sound system, once i have verbally confirmed supply that is a contract between me and the customer, if either defaults the other party can be sued, quite how it could be proved is another issue.
