Just like it should be!
Arriving outside the club, located between 2 shops on River Street in Truro; we're treated to long, up-lit corridor. This eventually leads to the sights, sounds and smells of the patrons of Bar200 and Bassfunk.

Downstairs. People are packed in like sardines in a tin-can only with the addition of a bar.

Happy faces everywhere chatting, drinking and listening to the tunes being pumped in from upstairs.
The action, and even more people, being upstairs; time to head there.

An array of some of the finest in breakbeats were to be sampled coming from Bossa who was, sadly, the only DJ I saw play.

People of Cornwall may not have picked up the breakbeat scene yet, but if Saturday was anything to go by, Bassfunk have placed it on us with a view to it hanging around.
I certainly hope so. Truro has not seen a vibe like this for some time and comes as a welcome change.

There was an instant aura of excitement. This was coupled with shaking of the floor and the ultimate skipping of the needle.
The crowd, the tunes and the music were all very reminiscent of the mid-1990's warehouse raves. No fancy club decor, no visuals, and most importantly - no bad attitudes.
Pounding beats, jagged snares and the sort of basslines that would make your nan follow through; all blended together with just the right amount of fun; all made for a very sweaty and enjoyable night.

Real people with a real passion for music, enjoying real DJs playing honest music for love of it, rather than the cash.
Clubbing hasn't been like this for a long time in my opinion and, I for one, am very much looking forward to the next.
Who laughed: vent
