The fish bowl for good new music in Cornwall - Bunters prides itself on putting on Cornish music's finest original and covers bands for hardened music lovers and those out for a good night out alike. The emphasis is on effort and entertainment - and it's easy to see why - having transformed from a band in the corner of the pub to it's present guise of one of the best venue's around - complete with full stage, lighting rig, backdrop and flames!! Bunters has lead the way in the South West over recent years proving popular with record companies coming to check out the best of Cornwall's talent - which has seen artists such as Thirteen Senses, and I Say Marvin go on to get signed. In 2006 we brought in some of the UK's hottest new acts with The Rifles, Milburn, The Upper Room, The Sunshine Underground, Kill The Young, and Yes Boss all taking to the Bunters stage. Steve Arvey - one of the biggest names in blues - has also graced truro courtesy of Bunters. Recently nominated for the What's On Best Live Music Venue at the Cornish Live Music Awards - we were only pipped to the award by the event hosts (obviously a fix! - but the residents of Cornwall know the real result), but shows just how rated the venue is.
