What can I say to justify it...
Those who were there know. THose who weren't should know better.

I've been 'doing' Rehab for some time and often take it for granted what goes into it.
The effort that is applied from the team to set-up the sound system.
The MC's writing and practicing their lyrics.
The DJ's playing their tunes to death so they know them inside-out and back-to-front.
The club management, security and barstaff making sure things run smoothly.

What's missing? The people who make the night real!

On top of all the effort that these people put in; it's you, the clubber who completes the night.

How refreshing it was to see people there for the music. I mean really for the music. DnB heads there to witness what the professionals do best. Basslines that'd make your nan soild her bloomers. Treble to staple skull fragment to your inner brain and mixes so sharp that they'd cut a man clean in two.
And most of all, a crowd to genuinely appreciate it.

MC's Express and Spin EZ kept it very tight for the night while Devinyl kept the crowd bouncing with his unique style of in-your-face & gritty mixing.

Friction steps up to the plates and makes no apoplogies for the sheer-weight of fatness he was to drop on us all.
People dancing.
People dancing harder and harder.
Friction is just pounding the room with tunes.
People are crawling out of the woodwork now.

I stood and watched DJ Friction play and was peppered in awe. Something just struck about his style. It wasn't quite the tunes he was playing, nor the pure buzzy-vibe that was coming from the crowd. No. He was using everything there to the best of his ability.
Quick record flips, using the frequencies and channel volumes to put a little bit of himself into every thing he played. Now thats entertainment.

Tune after tune after tune. A non-stop barriage of quality mixing that was not only pleasing & fat, but obviously fun for the crowd and the DJ.

I'd like to say that this should be the way all nights should be. Not just Rehab, ALL nights, EVERYWHERE.
But no, that wouldn't be good. It wouldn't be good because there wouldn't be stand out artists like Friction to blow us away.

Those who didn't come to Rehab - shame on you.
I've been heard to shout my opinons lately, good and bad. Shame on me.

Rehab is and I hope it will continue be the regular gem that it started out as.
Nothing is perfect in life. But we MUST admire those who make an effort to give you thses things.
If we weren't whining about aspects of these events, we'd be moaning about not having anything like it.
It's your call people, but you have to be there to make it!

Peace.

I do agree with u Sy rehab on friday was amazingly phat. I really enjoied it and dj friction lived up to his name and his set was sick.

Alot of the things that have been said where mostly stuff that alot of people where thinking but didnt say. U where just being upfront about what u were thinking. But i know what u r saying and it can be all to easy to critcise things. AND WHAT WE DO WITH OUT REHAB? i would be pissed right off with out it as it continues to the best dnb night in Cornwall.

Friction rocked out man, that was a fuckin cool night. Good to see al the regulars there just having a good time.
Thise pep pills should never be legal. I dident think they would be very strong. The little orange fucker i took because I had to work in the morning fucked with my brain. Ouch!!!
Oh yea, thanks for the props in your rewiew Psy. I know your struggling to deal with the difference in our popularity (head swelling) but dont worry I still concider you to be a friend. It must be hard when someone like me is constantly being heckeled by lady fame leaving you feeling like a mere mortal, its not my fault i'm the coolest person in St Day.
That was a joke by the way

I think Moving Fusion is a 'They' rather than a 'He'. They've produced loads of beatz on Ram Records which is Andy C's label. Happy vibe upbeatz with a typical Ram'esque feel.... Should be fat!
