Get in Andy, on the ball aren't you :)

Due to unforseen circumstances on our part we had to make the sad decision to 'POSTPONE' BREEZE for our launch night.

However unlike another promotion, seeing as you cant let things lie:

1) BREEZE was deffinately booked (we hadnt advertised a name that wasnt booked)
2) Notice was put up + was announced by the MC
3) A reduction on the door was given, instead of £10 we kept it at the ticket price of £8
4) We still had Ultrabeat / Kutski / Force + Junior, instead of just leaving people with local DJs
5) We delivered to the ravers what was advertised and they lapped it up. As you can see from the pic below...

Andy you have serios issues that need to be sorted out. Ok you have a beef with me, for sum reason you think i ripped you off (even tho Ribbz was paid in full). You have now stopped Hektek from playing on the 1st Nov, a set alot of people were dying to hear, and considering we're the only ones wanting to book him in his home county alot of people will feel that is bang out of order. We dont see this other night booking him?????????????????????

As I have said, mistakes were made in the past at Tall Trees, I am no business man, I am a raver / dj who wants, like hundreds of others, a good fookin rave in Cornwall. If we werent doing anything there would be nuttin, and that is FACT!!! But I for one have learnt from our mistakes and can assure you that wont be happening again!!!

Now maybe you would like to run along and annoy somebody else. Because its getting boring. If other nights cant except bad comments because their only headlining kept on failing to appear then make sure it dont keep happening. Neither night needs this beef, its hard enough as it is without your oar being stuck in

rant over - lets party!!! :)

I'm not one to butt in on a private arguement but what the do u mean Hektek isnt coming for the 1st. Man thats sad, I like many others was looking forward to hearing him play again.

As for Thurs nite, it was a shame that Breeze wasn't there but Hard Energy took every step to inform us of this, and they reduced the door tax. The event was awesome none the less. There was a happy vibe throughout the night. All of the DJ's were blinding. The decor was unreal, in both rooms, alot of effort clearly went into it. It was the first time I have ever heard Gabba in the barn Club. I don't think there will be any complaints from the ravers. Great value for my £'s

Gutted about Hektek being cancelled but I have nearly a month to get over it. Dave was looking forward to playing b2b with him. I guess you'll have to find another Gabba DJ.

Lets get 1 thing completely clear I didn't cancel hektek at all he was simply offered advice by numerous people on ush.net not only by myself. I can only offer advice from my own perspective & IMO you & your events are more trouble than they are worth. Something always seem to go wrong & BTW thats not just my opinion. I also believe you had a former member of Ultrabeat playing not one of the current Ultrabeat set up but that's. I won't deal with you because as I have said in the past things seem to constantly get messed up & dealing with you in any kind of business capacity is more trouble than its worth.

What do you mean a former member of Ultrabeat. Under my understanding their are 3 members of Ultrabeat, Ian Redman, Mike Di Scala + Chris Henry. I had heard rumours that they were splitting up but the agent informed me that Ian Redman was still Ultrabeat. So if that is not the case then I will take that up with the agent.

With regards to dealing with me, thats cool, i totally understand and I dont blame you, but as I have tried to stress many times before, unlike you I am not a successfuly business man, I just know good music and know how to throw a damn good party (this has been witnessed). I now have a very good team beside me who takes care of the business side of things. Perhaps instead of willing to jump on me and attack me (one of the only nights in the S/W suited to your rooster of DJs (Gabber, Hardcore, Hardcore Techno), we could possible bury the hatchet and move foward. Their are many DJs of yours we would love to have down here and know for a fact the ravers would lap it up. When was the last time Brisk was down in Cornwall (oh Re:Birth in Newquay in about 2005 I believe), Squad-E never been down here and we are gaggtig to have him. I can ensure you that if we did something with yourself that eerything would be done properly ie. Fees would be paid upfront (every penny) all the DJ would have to do is turn up and play (thats out of my hands).

As far as Damien (Hektek) is concerned then are you telling me that its his decision to play, just hes listened to whats been advised? Because at the end of the day he has been advertised as hes been booked for the event for well over a month, and the last thing we want is a DJ thats advertised to not turn up, doesnt do them or us any favours.

Perhaps from now we could disscuss this via pm, as I would love nuttin more than to sort this out with you.

Whether Hektek plays is entirely up to him..

& seeing as you are still cancelling djs at the last min (your last event), & are happy to jump on the net & slag my djs off & use my name personally without even trying to source an explanation in the 1st place. I really have no interest in working with you.

Oh & as I said in a previous mail you had a former member of Ultrabeat djing not one of the current line up as they are currently on an official Ultrabeat tour the only members to my knowledge able to do dj sets as Ultrabeat are Mike Discala (Recon) & Chris Henry.

ok thats your call, a shame as I am sure we could have sorted out this mess. As I said its a real shame as we would have loved to have had the likes of Brisk, Recon, Squad-E down here to rock the socks off people. I guess we will have to live in hope that Tranzaction bring them down then, if not the Cornish folk will have to go without :( :(

Ok I will question this with the agent, but seeing as Ian Redmans name is all over the Ultrabeat album, and he played a massive part in making those tunes, I think ur grasping at straws to knock me down. But as I said I will ask the agent. We did actually have Cris Henry booked but due to Cascada Tour he couldnt do it and the agent replaced him with Ian, out of my hands my old mucker :) But I will enquire :)

And before I forget, I am damn sure that Tranzaction recently had Ultrabeat at L2, and can you guess who the DJ was???????? IAN REDMAN!

that may well have been the case with Ian at the time you booked him he may well have been with Ultrabeat.
I think you are somewhat trying to cover the point I'm trying to make to you Ben & that is people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you had never cancelled djs, let them down at the last minute or not paid them as per contracts or verbal agreements then fine when you see something is not quite 100% as advertised on another night & an explanation is not forth coming then by all means lambast them all over the net. However when things are anything but rosy in your garden & things are hardly done the right way by yourselves then you are really treading on thin ice attacking another promoters night.
Having promoted well over 100 events myself in the past I fully understand all the problems that can arise that are totally outside of a promoter control ie a dj not turning up on the night. However you can make sure you get the basics right. I personally think anyone who advertises a dj should do everything within their power to make sure said dj is on at their advertised event. You can hardly say cancelling your main hardcore headliner at the 11th hour is doing that can you.
These are again only my opinions but putting on shambolic nights & cancelling djs in my book simply reiterates to me the stance that I am taking regarding any night that has any relation to you. Oh & as yet another aside I hear on the grapevine that at least one of your headliners that wasn't cancelled wasn't paid on the night as per agreement. Another reason why I won't be dealing with you. Its not worth the hassle so shall we agree to disagree here. It seems to me you have in one way or another created quite a bad reputation for yourself with quite a few people from up n coming djs who have helped you out to main headlining guests who had their potential wages ripped from them at the 11th hour presum, ably because they were either gullable enough to believe you or were not experienced enough to demand contracts & deposits. When I start hearing good stories about you from djs that have played for you & when you decide to actually run an event the right way I may consider booking some of my djs with you. Until then as long as you don't slag djs I manage or myself off then I will steer clear of doing the same to you. As I don't have the same time to waste as you obviously do.

Andy this is beyond a joke now mate, I know you may have a personal greivence with me but trying to put top tier DJs (ie Sharkey) off from playing for us aint only pissing me off but also alot of ravers who are dying to see these DJs, it aint going to do you any favours or me is it. Hopefully you mean that this is the end of it and you leave me in peace to do my thing and hopefully in time you will hear good things. But just to put it into prospective out of the over 80 DJs I have had featured at my events only a handful had problems, and sadly you cant please everyone

here we go again
I was actually the 2nd person to speak to sharkey about your event & considering he has been a friend for over 10 years I thought he may like to know that the last headliner at your event was cancelled on the day of your event however it seems according to him that he had already had a heads up from one of your headliners who played at your night & was one of the FEW as you put it djs to not be happy with you & hey I don't know this particular dj in question at all, never spoken to him in my life so I guess that must mean you p*ssed off 2 djs at your last event, but hell you've still got loads more to get through yet haven't you.
Now if me telling someone I class as a friend the truth about a promoter is putting him off then I guess that must be what I'm doing.
Hopefully next time you decide to open your mouth you may 1stly get your facts straight & 2ndly try putting your brain into gear before you let you gob run away with itself.
