Fast Rising superstar Morgan has just taken the helm as Krp2nyte’s main resident that takes place at Zone in Wakefield. Krp2nyte has just experienced the most amazing launch party with the killer line up of Alex Kidd, Barry Connell, with residence Morgan, Matt Pickup & Cat rocking the show. The whole night was a rip roaring success and with future guest including BK, Amber D & Shan to name a few it’s clear that krp2nyte is a force to be reckoned with. We catch up with Morgan to grab his thoughts on the success if the launch night, and find out what the power of krpt2nyte has in store for the future.

Hi Morgan So the Kryp2nyte launch party was a success it’s safe to say. What is it that attracts you to this particular event/night, and what makes it so special?

Hi mate, the launch party was defiantly a success to say the least. The place was rammed to the rafters. The vibe in there was immense everyone was bang up for it; the buzz in there was electric with the friendliest atmosphere. Loved it.

You were offered the residency almost straight away on a plate, and you snapped it up. What do you think are the strong points of last nights launch party and Kryp2nyte in general?

It was a pleasure to be asked to be resident. The line ups are strong as you like. With these line ups this night is defiantly up there with the big hitters in the scean and I’ve no doubt that with the right amount of work Krp2nyte can grow to be one of the most talked about nights in the country.

What is Kryp2nyte to you personally, at this moment in time?...and do u think it will change in time?

Kryp2nyte to me means being able to grow to learn the crowd playing every month I will no exactly what the regulars what to hear I love the interaction between the clubbers and the DJ and from the success of the launch party I know everyone who was there will come back and krp2nyte will gain a large number of loyal clubbers who come every month. I’ve no doubt the night is just going to grow and grow with the right promotion and dedication which I know the promoters hold,krpt2nyte will huge before we know it.

What kind of things do you think the future has in store for Kryp2nyte and yourself as a DJ?

I know that krp2nyte isn’t just stopping with Wakefield there’s events planed in Manchester and Northern Ireland amounst other things so it seems like there will be a lot of krp2nyte love being spread around. On the DJing side of things, things are going really well with dates set for GoodGreef, Storm, Tidy Weekender, wired, my own night Toast which is the Official GoodGreef NW after party and of course every month at Krpt2nyte its been a good start to 2007. I also hold down 2 residences under my House/Minimal Guise Groove-Tek at the legendary Sankey Soaps in Manchester for ‘Bitch’ and the ever popular Preston night ‘Disco Slut’. Both of these nights bring in the best in house & electro dj’s including Fergie, Kate Lawler, Mistress de Funk, Sonny Warton & filthy rich to name a few so it’s a pleasure to play along with these guys doing something a little different from my usual hard sets.

The atmosphere for the launch party was extremely friendly and very very energetic. How does it compare to the other nights that u play at, or have played at?

The Hard Dance scean as a whole is very friendly indeed its wicked to see so many smiling faces on the dance floor. People are so in to there music and are just out for a good time so it’s a joy to play to a crowed that loves it so much. The same goes for GoodGreef events you can’t beat the buzz of seeing so many people going wild to the music I play if I could bottle that feeling id make a fortune better than any illegal substance you can buy!

What are the strong points of Kryp2nyte and how do u think it could be improved each month?

The vibe, the atmosphere, the music, the DJs, but most of all the crowd there all so friendly you could litterly turn up on your own and make friends within seconds everyone is so up for it there’s not an attitude in sight. Each month is going to get bigger and bigger as word spreads people are going to be gagging to have a bit of krpt2nyte in there lives.

What about your style as a DJ?..Do you think it fits in well with the Kryp2nyte regime?

Deffinatly it gives me a chance to be as diverse as I want to be. If im doing an early set ill play funky chunky hard dance. Playing later on gives me the chance to bang out some wicked new Tech Trance, Hard Trance & hard house with a fair few “hands in the air, reach for the lasers, safe as fuck” moments thrown in for good measure.

Do you think that Kryp2nyte as a whole has a good setup and a strong foundation to become a well established night and is it as promising as you first thought? I really wanted the night to work so ive spent a lot of time helping out with internet promotion as I do with all the nights I play at. I had high hopes for the first event as I know everyone has put a lot of work in and with out a shadow of a doubt it paid off which im over the moon about. It has defiantly stuck its heals in the scean as one of the freshest new nights around and im looking forward to a long happy future as part of the krpt2nyte team.

February sees the legend that is BK headling the event with a very rare North West appearance. Along side BK is the one and only SHAN amazing DJ and always a pleasure to play along the pocket rocket. Coming up from London we have the Princess of hard house CALLY GAGE going b2b with the Filth machine that is MATT PICKUP as well as myself and fellow resident Cat. March see’s the queen of tidy AMBER D headline the event along side GRH and my Homies SAM TOWNEND & DEANO will be on hand to rock the massive the best way they know how.
