DJ Jimmy Bell - news for April 2007

Jimmy Bell is a prime example of our slow country not knowing a good thing until it’s gone. Like a girlfriend who suddenly decides not to wait around for an unappreciative lager lout, Jimmy broadened his horizons and took off abroad. America promptly fell madly in love with him. During a whirlwind romance he toured San Francisco, Chicago and New York to support his acclaimed track, Fade2Grey, with his Soundstream production partner Nick Hussey. On July 28th he will be back north of the border, spinning by invitation in Toronto. He also continues to have a loving relationship with Amsterdam, with a regular slot at the Supperclub, the next one falling on 13th April. In the ‘Dam he is lustfully wanted not only as Jimmy Bell but also as a part of the cherished party posse, The Garage Council. The Dutch simply cannot keep their pervy hands off of him.

But wait, the love plot thickens. England unsurprisingly started begging for him to come home. Jimmy kindly accepted and has since showcased his skills at the prestigious Club V nightclub, where he was welcomed back with loving arms and dancing feet. In fact the night was such a success they pleaded for another date in his ever growing diary. Mr. Bell also caught the frisky eyes of 2Kinky, the notoriously outrageous night of the North, where he also now regularly appears!

As any successful DJ knows, Bank Holiday weekends are never a holiday and this Easter weekend Jimmy dusted dust off his flares and glittery star sunglasses to play at the glamorous star studded event that people are finding it difficult to shut up about - Studio 54 at Ultima.

With his follow up to Fade2Grey in the final stages, and prospects looking good in all corners of the globe, it is safe to say to say, as DJmagazine did, that “the adventure is just beginning”. It is blindingly clear that in the case of Jimmy Bell you can’t keep a good thing down… or in this country, for that matter.
