Glam Cabaret - Success!!
The club was decorated in black, white and silver. The addition of a small stage complete with pole in the main bar invited some interest from the early birds who were packed into the bar before 11pm.

Just before the main dancefloor opened we were treated to some pretty nifty moves from a leggy blond in shiny silver hotpants and bra, who flicked her hair and gyrated round the pole to great effect - I'm sure the lads in the crowd all abandonned their conversations to watch her amazingly nimble legs wrap around and slide down that pole!!

To entertain the growing queue out on the high street there were some very sexy fire-eaters in burlesque lingerie! The usual patrolling policemen were given an unexpected treat, not sure they are used to seeing girls literally playing with fire on a saturday night in Watford!

Down on the dancefloor things really started hotting up at midnight when resident Chris Good took to the decks. The tunes just kept coming and I cannot remember a single track that didn't make me smile and dance! All my old favourites from the last few years and a few more recent ones... (Chris - I think i did promise to have your babies if you played "Detroit" - but I've never heard it accompanied by live saxophone before!! Absolutely wicked!!!!)

In between the tunes and all the dancing I was able to appreciate the return visit of the masked guitarman - if you haven't heard Deep Dish "Flashdance" with live electric guitar, you haven't lived!!

The dancefloor was further entertained by the arrival on the fire-eater girls who had changed into sexy stilt walkers. They bobbed about amoung the dancing crowd, standing a full body height over the rest of us - mind your heads on the lighting rigs girls!!

I had the privilege of being able to meet Rocky up close and personal - a rather large snake with his wonderwoman-esque handler dressed in a fabulous gold corset. I'm not sure what he made of the noise and the smoke but it really was great for me to give him a a little stoke!!

All in all I had a brilliant night - the music was just right, the entertainment was first class and the crowd was really up for it.

Thank you Chris for all the hard work that went into planning a themed night that truly was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!

The photos speak for themselves and I would like to say another huge THANK YOU to Jay Roberts aka DirtyDisco for coming along to take pics - he was snapping away all night.

Muchos, Muchos Gracias to Sally, Jay, Connor, Slim Jim, Will on Guitar, all the performers and especially Rachel in the office who arranged everything when I was is Spain.
I was really pleased and proud of this night.....I think it shows that you don't always have to book big branded tours to have a special night.
If you missed this one try and come down to the next Glam Cabaret we'll be doing around Christmas time :)
