Exotic returns on the 28th November 2008 to celebrate the launch of nuenergycollective.com. The site is now live with exclusive DJ mixes, artist features and much more! The Nu Energy Collective will be making their Weymouth debut with label boss Kevin Energy and Eryk Orpheus headlining. To mark the occasion Kev will be giving away free CD’s and vinyl on the night!.

N.E.C. head honcho, Kevin Energy is firmly established as a DJ in the top echelon of both the Hardcore and Harddance scenes, with bookings the length and breadth of the UK and all around the World. Energised, always and musically innovative, there aren’t many crowd-pleasers around that can rock a crowd quite like Kevin Energy but for a man who earned his first big room rave sets before he was old enough to legally attend them it is hardly surprising. His fresh sound and ever enthusiastic mixing style make him a favourite behind the decks as he always delivers service with a smile and with more scratching and rockin’, upfront tracks than you can shake a glow stick at.
From the early days of Dream FM and ‘Hardcore Fever’ Kevin has moved from strength to strength. With running the Nu Energy Collective including some long established labels – Nu Energy Records, Relentless Vinyl, Liquid Hardcore, Elevate Whites and NEC Live, brand new digital label concepts and LIVE PA, Freeformation party nights, his Elevate Hard Dance crusade, Hardcore Heaven compilation mix and USA domination, Kevin is by far one of the busiest DJ’s/producers/promoters in the scene, but despite his insanely busy work ethic he will still be seen partying it up at events before and after his sets wearing oversized hats, Hawaiian shirts and dressing up as crazy Dutch man, surely why he is a pioneer of the Wise Up, Get Stupid party ethic!
Whether it be his blistering Hardcore Heaven + Elevate CD mixes, his explosive technically tight DJ sets at HTID, Frantic Slammin Vinyl + Sundissential or even his rave rockin production work, Kevin always manages to balance a pacey, instantly uplifting energy with a forward thinking approach that pushes back the boundaries of Hardcore and Harddance. Always playing for the crowd and the moment. Kevin’s experience of knowing what to pull out, coupled with his quick skills + Intense style insures his sets always stand and leave a crowd that are eager to experience his music once more.
ERYK ORPHEUS
As part of Aural Resonance Eryk cut his teeth on the underground dance scene and was initiated into the world of squat parties and warehouse parties, although it wasn't long before his unique PA was being booked by club nights like Escape from Samsara, Trancentral, Techtonic and Tribal Kaos. By this Eryk was becoming a pretty busy live sound engineer and had started to do a lot of live work with bands and artists such as Radiohead, Hawkwind, The Lightning Seeds, Jim Diamond, Black Umfolosi and The Brand New Heavies to name but a few. The 17th April 2004 saw the first ever Eryk Orpheus Intelli-Trance Live Show at Cyberdog in Camden and since that first solo gig things have just got better and better!
Eryk has had tracks on the Hardcore Heaven series of compilations, as well as Australia's Hardcore Massif 2008 and the Freeformation “Wise Up Get Stupid album”. His tracks are also regularly played on BBC radio one and have featured on Sky TV. The Intelli-Trance and Intelli-Core labels will be releasing soon via www.nuenergycollective.com. Eryk is also busy in the studio finishing tunes and remixes for various labels including Nu Energy Kaotic, Finrg, Relentless, as well as writing for the Live PA and working on projects with Sharkey, DJRX, Carbon Based and Mark Ashley.
In familiar Exotic style the main hall will be filled with pounding nrg and freeform hardcore provided by Kevin and Eryk with support from Niacin, Meri, Jase Da Case and Mk-Wan.
The second room is home to stomping techno, hard dance and schranz featuring guests John Black and Irish Stu alongside Bare Cheek DJ’s BCR Boyz, Robin H and Maximum.
Alternatively, relax in the Front Bar with a varied selection of Electro, Breaks and Minimal beats supplied by Jim Bong, Dope Jon Paul, Jurassic, Dave Brown and DJ Shorty.
