I'm giving this a miss. Pendulum are doing the full live show @ the B.I.C in December so I'm going to go to that.

Roughly works out at half the cost to see them at Banus instead of the BIC when you take transportation etc into account.

That and your going to be;
much closer to them
going to be able to get much better pics
its at a much friendlier clubbing time
the drinks will be cheaper
you'll have a much greater chance of actually meeting them
you can roll out to your fave kebab shop on the way home.

You may not get the full live experience, but the atmosphere that night in the club will be amazing.

After that, you can save your pennies again and go down to Bmth in Dec.

So reminder to all, tickets still available at £12 from Banus up until the event.
(and you dont have to pay a £1.60 'booking fee' rip either as you would at other places).

I think it is really sad and unfortunate that people from their own home town are not willing to go and see, what is without a doubt, the biggest club night of the year in Weymouth. Yet, certain individuals seem to talk about things as if they are really experienced in the club industry, and know everything. Having opinions is great, but childish comments sounds to me like a bit of sour grapes. Is it jealously?, have you tried to book Pendulum and could'nt?, or have you tried to promote nights yourselves and have fallen flat on your face because it was a total disaster?. I can't understand why an act like Pendulum (even the DJ set) is not appreciated in Weymouth. Pendulum have played at the Opera House twice within a year. The first time was a live set, the second the DJ set. The second time was on a Thursday night and it was £19. So why is there a constant dig at the £12 price range. At least in Banus you will be really close up to the act, unlike the Opera House. It is very sad that some small minded people think this way.

I really think that these people are the minority, and most of Weymouth will be at Pendulum, well the decent people who don't want to miss out. Not long now.

tbh I thought this was cleared up already? Those that questioned it have been answered by Matt and are happy as larry except Corbz cuz he's a bit poor atm!

Personally I'm not going because of the price it's because I'm a fan of guitars and moshpits rather than D&B vinyl.

Judging by the facebook listing it will be rammed!

I do.

You'd be surprised how many people think I sell tickets for the love of it!

I don't mind the constant phone calls- "how many you got left?", "can you put me some by?"; the regular ticket count requests from promotors or having the responsibility of someone else's money on the premises....... but I ain't doing it for nothing

....with the odd exception- I have some Pendulum tickets left with no booking fee @ £12 if any are still looking! ;-)

agreed, it's not my fault that i judge attending an event on the combination of wanting to go and budget..

in all honesty.. i'm glad to see banus booking the big names, it gives me variety and choice..

just putting on three or four parties a year is a handful and gives us enough stress so my hat is off to Banus for continually sustaining a broad spectrum of acts.............. Pendulum are the leading outfit at the moment and remember pre Banus there was no option but to travel for nights out of this quality.............keep it going Banus the people will flock and the price is more than acceptable.

dude, its only a 2 or 3 people who dont want to see pendulum in weymouth, its not like we are all pulling out! im coming down from london to see pendulum because i want to see them in a small club, and as was said before, maybe even meet them! I have seen pendulum before in a big club, now its time to rave up close and personal :-) all my raving budz are in weybiza too, so it will be great to get together again

as far as the £12 door price is concerned, i think i raised this issue - and we had the "discussion" regarding it about 2 months ago, lol

(actually hun you were the one who said u 2 werent gonna bother coming round, before i said that but i wont bring it up anymore... you know why i said it... its history)

i cant understand why people are complaining about the price and stuff when it is the only dance event we have now!!! pendulum are excellent either way, and i'd much rather go and see them at Banus than travel somewhere else and pay stupid money when they are on our doorstep, by rights this event should be WAY more expensive given the size of the club, i reckon we're actually damn lucky to have them in weybeefa for that amount of coinage!!!! a night out is what you make it, i dont like d'n'b much myself but i'll make an exception for these guys! and yes, there is a pre-party, see the other thread...it's only a 'small gathering' though!!! (in translation, half of weymouth will be on my doorstep...) anybody want a bouncer's job???
