Firesky 1st Birthday Bash: Review and Statement..
Right I know a few of you were left wondering last night about 4 of DJ's whereabouts last night..

Unfortunately, for reasons beyond Firesky's control, Mark Hashimi & Nick The Kid had issues with their driver letting them down right at the last.. Mark contacted me prior to opening explaining the situation and they have also confirmed that they will be able to feature at Corbz's 21t bash in June. So fear not, for those who wanted to see these guys destoy Harry's, they are gonna be here sooner than you think!

The explanation for Jon the Baptist & DJ Chuck-E's absence is simple. Illness..

I don't know what the odds are on two different DJ's from two different contries being ill at the same time are, but they must be in the millions?

Well our hard trance superstars were both unable to make it due to an ear infection and food poisoning respectively.. we wish them both a speedy recovery, they will be back at the next installment of Firesky madness..

Right now to the less depressing part!

Apart from the freak DJ cancellation situation, everything went swimmingly! It was decided that M.C.R Projekt would cancel their first ever set as a trio in order to play sets as their more familiar ego's of M.N.K.Y & Ryki and Dj The Corbz. We also managed to wangle Weymouth legend and one half of the B.C.R Boyz - DJ Swannie, to cover the other remaining hour..

Despite the fact that 4 of our more reknowned DJ's were absent, the night went off from start to finish! Dan J kicked things off with an awesome 45 minute set of grimy electro and house..

Next up it was time for Firesky's resident OAP to smash it up, DJ Phatt Boy got the party moving onto another level with a wicked three-quarters-of-an-hour stint that got the place moving!

Our newest resident and Firesky protege - Dickie J, stepped up next to deliver a blisteringly bangin' half-hour of Hard Trance..

In replacement of Jon the Baptist & DJ Chuck-E's hour set, M.N.K.Y & Ryki jumped into action with 60 minutes of seriously stompin' Hard House..

Absolute legend and Firesky's 'Super-sub' - DJ Swannie took control at 2am, whipping up a wicked spur of the moment classic techno and hard trance set that convinced us, we need this guy back, and soon..

And finally, HD@H & Firesky promoter and resident mentalist Dj The Corbz closed the night with 90 minutes of Hardcore alongside newbie DJ and special guest - Samuel Sunrise..

We'd just like to take the time to thank everyone who attended our birthday bash, and also to all those have attended, dj'd at, worked at, help run or done aything to help our cause in our maiden year of parties.. Here's to many more messy memories!

Check out our gallery's to see all of the photo's taken by our spotter's for this night.

i don't know if you know, but I'm now married.

(have been for nearly 3yrs) and my wife makes it really difficult for me to socialise. I slipped her a sleeping pill at about 9pm on sat on the sly and managed to make it..

but if theirs a hard trance night on and my wife's asleep i will be their.. no point taking her out as she's into Popular music & moans at me all night and dances funnier than me..

if you need an mc though i can do that although everything i've got is ripped from si and i sound just like him ( but if somebody makes a pretend post with my name on it sayingi'm mcing/djing i might be able to make it more often)

Soo Much for my quiet night in, with my slippers, coco, blanket, pipe !

I had a great time tho, good beer & good music. Had a battle with fluff on the needle a few times, some of what i played really were classics ! Glad it went down ok tho, it was soo unplanned & spur of the moment but that made things all the more intresting for me.
