Friday night was the 1st Firesky event of 2008 and was designed to be more 'low key' rather than a mega huge shindig of a party and I think we managed to keep it like that! We had a great turn out with many new faces aswell as the regular old ones (you know who you are :P !) and everyone seemed to have a great night which was the important bit, including me!!!!!

Anyways, Dan J and Corbz kicked things off at 11pm with some dirty electro thru to some tough trance. All things where going swimmingly until Dan accidently put the wrong track on and ended up playing a blatant hardstyle tune! oops!! Only Dan could do this!

Next up on the decks was the 'sweatmeister' himself, Phatt Boy! Phatts (as hes affectionately known as within the Firesky Camp!) continued on from Corbz filter into trance by playing some lush melodic breakdowns from Luca Antolini thru to the techy beats of Vandall.

This was the best set I've ever heard Phatt Boy play and I've told him to lay it down onto a mix which we shall distribute to anyone who wants it!!!

12.30 came round pretty fast and so it was time for the 'Maiden Newton Massive' and 'Welsh Wonder' to get involved!! Jon The Baptist & Chuck-E, our headliners for the evening, started with an old skool classic (which I dont know the name of) and then went flat out with the Hard trancers, many of them being their own productions!

By now the club was in full swing and so for the final track Chuck-E (being the geek that he is) dropped his own take on 'Star Wars Emperial March' which was quite blatantly HARDCORE! haha!

Next up was new boy, Dickie J! He thraped out the next 30 minutes with some dirty hardstyle which was Ard as fuk! I was a little drunk by now so I dont recall much of his set! :(

M.N.K.Y + Ryki were on at 2am and I cant remember what we played! I think we played some Vandall Tracks, a little bit of L.E.D and probably finished with Alphazone! The problem I have with these types of nights is that I enjoy myself as much as a raver as I do a DJ! Its always helpful having a DJ partner! hehe!

Finally, Corbz and Phatt Boy wrapped the last hour of the evening off with a b2b sesh. I had already gone home but from what I've heard they kept going till 4.30 and that included not one but TWO 'one mores'!! haha! Good Skillz!

Jon, Corbz, Dan, Chuck-E, Dezzi, Mitch, Myself, Darren and Lamps would like to thank all that came!!! We enjoyed it loads and we are already in discussing about maybe doing another payback party.

























In the mean time keep your eyes peeled for future Firesky events, I cant let on too much but Corbz is working on something special :D
