Hey Guys..
This venue is **NOT** licensed for these events (and the neighbours opposite are not too happy)
If it gets reported to the POLICE (and the neighbours will) you will loose your equipment, and be prossecuted for running an ILLEGAL event;

(note: it also VOIDS all the venues public,fire, insurance and liabilities)

you are taking a VERY BIG RISK here;
they've had trouble here before, and it is being watched by the boys in blue, and the council licensing officers.
It will get busted as the neighbours have busted every previous event.
try The Railway instead? -they are legit as a live venue.
**** DO NOT RISK IT !!!! ****

Thanks for the advise, it's always good to see people watching out for ya but who are you? Have you done anything there? What proof you got to back this up?

It's new management at the Ship now, someone who I know and trust in so what ever happened in the past... unlucky.

Hi James

We were putting on nights in The Ship all last year for pretty much the whole year and there wasn't any trouble. Some of the neighbours did complain a bit but they live in a town next to a pub with a live music licence! (which it did have when adrian was the land lord) What do they expect. They didn't bust every previous event thats the biggest load of bollocks i've hurd!

We were the first people to put these type of events on in The Ship and the only time the police got involved were when adrian called them because someone refused to leave the premises. (which was only once in the whole year!) They even monitored the sound level from across the road to make sure it wasn't too loud and was within the limits of the law in consideration for the people living there.

I wouldn't be suprised if the person posting that coment was one of the neighbours trying to put you off putting the night on! If they don't like the sounds of a town on a saturday night then move to a nice quiet village.

Its good to see someone else taking over from ReToX Productions in the ship, it might give the people of Winch something other to talk about on here apart from the sanctuary festival!

Don't take any notice mate and good luck with it!

Take it easy

Jima - ReToX

P.S. Check out our myspace for some pics and videos of our nights in the ship. Long live the ship! Big up the ReToX Productions!

Cheers mate, I know it's a load of shite, the watcher better watchout! That's the problem with DSI sometimes - you do get people rabbaling on about nothing!

I heard you did a good job up there with ReToX, nice stuff, I'll keep the Ship floating and on a new voyage across the waves of house & breaks!!

See you up there sometime.

Even if what theWatcher said is true, it is possible that the event is running under a Temporary Event Notification. I believe most pubs can run a certain number of these each year.

If the people living opposite don't like it, why did they choose to live opposite a pub? Likewise, if people living in Heathrow don't like the sound of low-flying aircraft on a regular basis, why did they choose to live near the principal airport in the UK?
