what a party
first of all i need to thank everyone for there efforts in making this a party that will not be forgotten fast.
all dj's performed to the highest standard in both rooms and rocked the socks off whoever was there. was also nice to see people wondering into both rooms and experiencing all the different styles that were on offer.
all i have heard off people is how good the event was so im v pleased with the outcome and i'm looking forward to the next event.
my hat goes off to all the dj's especially doc vin who soon as his set was done he was out on the streets with me pulling people in like a trooper so big up for all the help prior to that aswell geeza your a fuckin superstar in the making.
from what i heard the jackin off boys smashed the upstairs to pieces as expected so big up yourselves aswell and thanks for all the support and graft you put in aswell.
i cant really give a set of the night as i wasn't around long enough but from what i hear off other people it was doc vin that got the best reaction although having quest in the canal was fuckin superb for me so big up quest.
the visuals were spot on and i couldnt of asked for anymore off you 2 it was on the money man big up.
the dancers from twisted elements were fuckin mentaly sexy and had my attention most of the night, respect to you lot for just jumping in with the crowd and goin nuts made the vibe all the better.
bass6 was on the money aswell not only did he keep everyone alive all night apart from that random person asleep on one of the podiums (does anyone know who that was and how they fell to sleep in the canal club while quest was dropping some heavy breaks?) but he stole the show with the beatboxing in between sets, really was fuckin buzzin all night.
all in all i think its fair to say we have now established that wolves needed something like this and by the look on all your faces you enjoyed yourselves so we aint gonna stop there the next city breaks is already taking shape and the raw re launch is around the corner so many more messy times to come.
stay happy people and keep partying hard
lets keep this vibe alive
russ

Well what can i say. We have bn awaiting a night like this in wolves for a long time and finally it has arrived in the form of City breaks!!!
A big shout out to the main man Rcaine, it takes alot of balls for someone to go for it which is probably why the city aint had fuck all for so long, so nuff respect for putting the night on.
I've had countless calls from people who i know that were there already asking me when the next one is eager in anticipation, it shld be a lesson to all those that didn't make it that it certainly is a night not to be missed at all costs!!!!
As i was there from the beginning i was fortunate to catch most sets from all people, set of the night for me has to go to Rcaine, considering he was the promoter, was running round town flyering, looking after the jackin off boys, the dj's from london plus loads of other stuff behind the scenes and still smashed the place to pieces at the end and i think he deserves alot of credit.
I wasn't sure exactly what to expect from jackin house as i've not really heard it before, but i went upstairs and next thing u know i'm on the stage raving my balls off - nuff respect to u guys, luv the stuff and cant wait to hear it again!!
Well i cant wait for the next Raw party now, should be awesome and for those of u that didn't make city breaks i hope u won't make that same mistake again and i shall catch u at Raw.
Peace out
Vin

Glad you enjoyed it dude, you seemed to be loving it. Fair play!!

Music policy got a bit loose towards the end coz everyone started getting crazy so we just wound it up and up. Everyone was definately feeling the jackin, boompety grooves though. Can't wait to drop some more!!!

Here here on all accounts. Have to agree with Vin, absolute respect to you Russ for pulling this together and giving us Jackin boys the chance to represent at your gig. It was a pleasure to work alongside you guys and i think its fair to say everyone in that building were entertained by us all.

Roll on the next one!

Yep it was a Biggg night!!!
I really enjoyed it, and i actually forgot i was in Wolves......... it was like a night in Bham, esp the jackin house room, as thats what i'm used too. But this is Wolves and it's getting better!!!
Everyone did brilliant, Rcaine, running tings and cracking the caine, and Ste and Doc Vin and co for all the flyering and work behind the scenes. It was a real good effort by everyone involved.

I deffo think this night can go places..........
I mean look at the breaks night that started in Notts - Spectrum, they started out like city breaks, and now they are one of the best and well known breaks nights in the UK playing allover.
Plus having a jackin house room, well that makes all the more better!!
Its underground music and damn that shit really groooooooves man.

Deffo roll on the next one :)
See u all soon

Nothing but positive feedback from all my mates either. Every1 was just getting down and enjoying the tunes (even myself when i wasnt playing ;). Was great to have somewhere in wolves open later than 2AM and people still rocking as well!! Heard breaks for the first time also and I like it!!

aye russ hit me up when u've got the news ;)

because of friday my girlfriend (who used to be totally non-house) has now knicked me carl cox CD and wants me to lend her lots more house CDs, people were getting some serious conversions!

yes Dan, friday also reinvigorated the love for breaks i used to have.

of course though all the positive vibes coming through from people and the fact that the venue was still rocking til 4:30 was the main thing
