Loved it!
Wanna say how much I loved the sets from Trixta and Ruff Trixx! They were two of the best sets I have seen in ages! Didnt see many other sets from the night but I did hear some wicked tunes being played. Brisk was fantastic as usual. The night was loads of fun and I cant wait for the next :)

Is it true some of the MC's that were booked didnt end up getting fully paid? Thats well out of order if it is, even if you dont pull a big enough crowd you have to absorb the loss, not fail to pay the artists you book after they have travelled down.

hmmm cant say i agree, that was the first time ive heard them & i wasn't too impressed as they managed to clear the dance floor in 5 minutes...maybe they just had the wrong crowd who knows but it def wasn't my cuppa tea....however brisk on the other hand was absoloutly stompin throughout his set,as soon as he got on the decs the dance floor filled up & the place was rockin!!vapour also played an amazin set as per usual was lovin the oldskool :)

its a shame the real talent (uv & mayhem) arn't getting the respect and appreciation they deserve,i beleive there two of the best mc's on south coast, mayhem is one of the hottest new mc's on the scene he works extremely hard and has mc'd at every single rush without fail, hardcore is his passion...uv has been mc'in since the late 80's!!alot of people just think he's another new boy but he's not,he's one hell of an experienced mc and has worked with some big big names, again he works extremely hard and loves what he does...this isnt about the money at all and i wouldnt want people to think thats what this is about....its just about respect

its just about respect

And Mayhem has our total respect hench why we have been getting him bookings around the country in return for what he does for us at RUSH. The guy is top quality talent and we know that. Hes gonna go far :) WE LOVE YOU MARLEY lol

As for UV i've only seen him the 2 times hes been @ RUSH and have been impressed. And if he agrees we will be having him bk again in the future.

how can you say that since meeting mayhem this time last year we at rush have given him the oppurtunity to MC for many big name dj's and had many bookings coming up including some inernational gigs in Toronto chicago & pittsburg now if we wernt showing any respect for him why are we giving him these fantastic opportunities.

As for mc Uv this was the 1st time we actually had him on our line up and yeah he did a good job hopefully we will get to know him better and see what he can do

how can you say that

UV was promised a fee and travelled all the way down from Portsmouth to MC, and was given a tenner?! Thats how that can be said. That wouldnt even cover petrol. Very cheeky

UV was promised a fee

Actually that was not the case at all. What UV was told was that we would sort something. No amount was discussed and also we did make an agreement to pay him something the next time we see him if this had caused inconvenience. So maybe bfore you go posting onforums you should find out what you are ranting about.

everyone is entitled to there own opinion and i can tell you this for free bonkersthelong knows exactly what ''he's going on about''... i'm glad to discover the fact that you do respect mayhem in those ways. i dont want any of these conversations to reflect on mayhem personally as he has said or done nothing to influence them, these are solely my own views & i know mayhem has the upmost respect for you jo and mike and he stays well away from all the politics. i just know that he could go extremely far even on his own. I have had to hold back on alot of things i would like to say as i have respect for a certain someone but beleive me if i could i would

just a quick lol reply to this.

any kind of feedback is most grateful. would love to know what you didnt like about it?

we played a showcase which means a showcase of all our fourth coming material. our normal sets do not just consist of this AND our label is doin sommin very different from the other labels in the scene at the moment.

we dont xpect everyone to find it their cup of tea however saying that, on the night we had 5/6 ppl say it woz the best set they have had at that event and only 1, yourself, saying they didnt like it.

so if 7 record buyers 6 loved it and the other one didnt we would do great on our sales :)

our music is a bit like marmite i guess. the first track we played woz very exiperimental which is prob why it didnt take in too well with the crowd. having said that tho our intro at the start went down a treat.

please check out our other mixes which dont just feature all our tracks.
gotta say big fanks to jo n mike for gettin us down. we enjoyed it extremly :)
