It’s taken nearly a week for the after effect of a truly great night to sink in, I am usually writing this kind of stuff on here the day after fresh in the mind. However, after having been truly blown away I thought I would take time to recollect and take time to write this or is the real reason was cos I got a little bit to fooked as well seeming it was my Birthday celebration and wasn’t compis-mentis till later in the week :D.

I got in Freak a bit later than usual cos we stopped of at the Swan for a little Luv Jam sesh and then we popped to see my mate Dale spin in Fat Cats. You should all pop down to Fat cats on a Friday he plays some good Funk house/hippedy hop/and chill tunes better than the normal chart crap you hear in the bars elsewhere in town.

Freak already buzzing as we got in, with now the usual 2 rooms to choose from we decided to take a bit of side room action. Harvey was in control of proceedings and doing a great warm up job. Another few drinks later which where all getting bought for me being the birthday boy, so I had no excuse’s for not drinking a big thank you to all who bought me. Now well sozelled it was tear up the dance floor time yea. I caught the end of Barnes set top draw as always ready for the rubber lipped German mistro Timo Maas to begin.

I was on the podium could not resist acidey swechy bass lines a plenty, the party was in full swing everyone was well up for it. The place was getting ripped apart the visuals the light the music the atmosphere my head was spinning how fooking good. Timo was par exellent was well better than I thought he would be he seems to have left the era he had a few years back when he was not to sure what style he want to play. He seems to have fused it all in a journey through dance that not too many dj’s can pull off. Got to say again the atmosphere was electric wow best I have seen in a while these freaks really give it some!

The 2nd think that made this night truly awesome was Stel Alexander a great manoeuvre making this guy a Freak resie I’ve had many a fooked up night in Circus when this guy has been spinning. Seeing Stel in action is awesome he puts so much energy into his housey/techy sets you swear he was pummelling out up for it trance. It was then a hard decision to decide who to go and rave to; the deciding factor was the emptiness of the side room later on the night. NOTE: if you ever have chance to go and see Stel, do it the man deserves a looking the side room should have had more action than it did.

The end of the night was drawing close well worn out but could not stop dancing like an idiot, a cheesey grin in tow to I was having a great time. I think I even saw Gary Joy( Wrexham’s answer to Dave scouse house Graham) giving it some Freak style on the dance floor. Then there was Luv Jams Dan doing bicycle kick laying on his back on the floor covered in glass the lads a loon. The party had to end sometime and Timo was playing to all the mad heads that where still left. He did the obligtory ‘one more tune’ only to be stopped by the one of the bouncer’s (why are all bouncers wankers) halfway through needless to say he got a big boo from the crowd.

Then out into daylight I hate summer clubbing walking through the door’s bright light bright light. The problem is every one can see what a state your in, your squinting cos you have just been in a dirty dark club you do look a right FREAK (he he bad pun) then again everyone else does. The birds where tweeting also proper annoying, what I would have done for a shot gun would have been like duck hunt on the Super Nes crazy up loon version. Anyway ready for the next parties Wrexham has to offer in the coming months bring e’m on.
