LEE PENNINGTON

Middlesbrough in the North East of England may not sound like the epicentre
of the dance music universe, however in October 2003, with the inception of a
underground house club night *riffraff, Lee Pennington (Section 75) put his two
feet firmly on the first rung of the DJing ladder. Launched initially as a one-off
promotional event to help promote his debut release on Source of Gravity
Recordings, it quickly developed into an event that would cater for those people who appreciate forward thinking and thoughtful house music.
Over the last few years Lee has fast become a respected producer of underground house music under his Section 75 and riffraff aliases. He now has tracks available on many independent labels that are supported by the likes of, Cattaneo, Warren, Flash Brothers, Lawler, Guy Ornandel, John Digweed, Steve Parry, Scott Bradford, Mashtronic, Paul Van Dyk and many more A list Djs. His music can be found on labels such as Helvetica, Source Of gravity, Adjust, Digiprana, Restart, Stranamente, CP Recordings, Climax, Fade Out, Discosure Project and he has more productions in the pipeline.
As well as his resident duties at *riffraff, Lee has managed to get out and about across Europe playing his own brand of progressive house to the masses, as well as completing a tour of the USA where he played 9 gigs in twelve days.
He has been a busy man with radio broadcast appearances on Energy FM, Red & Blues Shake show, Digiprana Sounds, Downshift Radio, LRCN's shows The Bidness & Four4 (formerly 4x4 101) on DI.FM & AfterhoursDJs.org respectively, and now his own show hosted on Proton alongside one half of KVK, Mr Sean McCllelan and with a *riffraff show starting up on Digitized FM.
With DJ gigs coming thick and fast and many more European dates being filled in as we speak as well as an album in production we now look forward to more music from the man in 2007.

PAUL BOWEN

At a young age Paul has hit many stepping stones in his music career, starting out
back in 98, playing in local bars and clubs he is known for his progressive & tribal
groves.

Over the past few years things have started to move forward with both DJ’ing and his
productions. Paul is currently Co promoter for underground
events "riffraff", working along side Lee Pennington from Source Of Gravity Records.

The night is a monthly event situated in the home town of Middlesbrough, presenting some of the biggest names in the progressive house scene, seeing Paul warm up for guest's such as, Scott Bradford (Lexicon Avenue), Cass & Mangan (Bedrock) and Kasey Taylor (Vapour Recordings) to name but a few. Also in between his residency at riffraff Paul is playing around Europe gathering dates in Croatia, Switzerland, Scotland and Ibiza. Along with guest appearances around the UK.

In the studio Paul produces under both riffraff working with Lee Pennington from Source Of Gravity Records and under his own name Paul Bowen. riffraff side of things the team have released a number of tracks featuring Zombie In My Radio on Adjust Recordings which reached number 6 in the American pool chat.

On his solo productions Paul's releases have gathered support by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Pappa, John Graham (Quivver) & Moshic to name a few. Along with reaching the top 10 in the American pool chart and remaining in the top 40 for a further 3 weeks running with his remix of Nativa & Deepminds "Tribal Kult".

With Paul’s good understanding of music and technical ability both behind the decks and in the studio the future is looking bright.
