The Gallery is good for one thing, the cattel market, if you wont good music and a club that cares about something other then the pound signes DONT go to the gallery.

Its about time a club in york opened it's eyes to the wider world of music that IS out there. but hey comercial cheese makes the money, and thats really all you give a monkeys about aint it mr kay???? or am i wrong, are you promoting fresh new talent, are you pushing music in the right direction, are you showing people new and exciting music they aint heard before, Nar didn't think so!!! haha.

Had to use the Gallery/DSI page to advertise my night I couldent find anywhere else to put it, thanks for the comment Bainbridge and your right, I'm sorry for being cheeky but if Mr Kay already has the numbers then what is he/Gallery doing on this site??????? I'm trying to build a Friday night that will allow people to enjoy the deeper side of club culture and still have a wicked night out whilst looking for guest DJ's to do slots in the future, and anyway it's about time things changed around here. Ziggy's is a niche club and always will be, so Mr Kay can stay with his commercial stuff and we will stick to what we know.

Hey why not, after all that guy aint from york, he dont even work for the gallery, he's just part of limuniar, Thus has no idea whats gwarning in york at the best of times, what he does know is the gallery as brown surgested is struggleing compared to recent years, and it carn't be to much of a coinsidence that in that time the smaller clud style events have taken off, its all a sign that york is waking up from the luminar strangelhold thats dominated this city for 10 years to long, haha.

2 be fair its not us tryin 2 make u look bad.....................................its the ppl that go 2 your club and the general atmosphere and everything that is the gallery!Dont even get me started on ya bullys.soz i mean "door staff".At the end of the day its not even about numbers,its about decency and a "real" gud nite which actually has a tru meaning and decent atmosphere.Ever heard the sayin a dj is only as gud as the tunes they play?Well this is certainly the case at places like the gallery,and not jus the gallery b4 u think im singling u out.

If it really was shit, too expensive, and the doorstaff were bullys, WHY are people coming then?

The reason why you're all putting nights on is because you hate the gallery.

there is no point trying to compete with the gallery because this would mean you want to take their trade. Ands lets face it you would want the sort of peeps who attend the gallery week in week out at your night, would you?

gettin shortee blitz on at the gallery is pretty good. But just think about poor old shortee in this situation. I mean how many people will be there to actually see him, let alone heard of him? The artful dodger - not bad either, except it's 2007 not 1999.

Keep it underground and forget about the gallery. Just be thankful that there is somewhere like the gallery to attend on a weekend. It means that they are not at your night!

And those are the magic words. ;) People are trying too hard to push their sounds to the masses. Who cares what the Gallerys doing really? Just keep putting on the little underground parties that have atmospheres 1000000x better than the gallery ever could.
