A farewell to things !
After almost 7 years Savaged is to stop running regular monthly events in york, It has been an absolutely amazing time from its infamous beginnings at the original house parties to the first club nights in Hull to the wild Housewifes Choice and Glasshouse all nighters it has far exceeded anything imagined, there was no plan, no great goals to achieve and no point to make it was just a bunch of mates wanting to mix it up and what happened along the way was a bonus, but mates grow up and move on and settle down and nothing lasts forever and savaged has had its time, so this event will be a celebration of what it has achieved and the community it created, expect the tunes to be as good as they have ever been over the last 7 years
As stated this is the last regular savaged we will however be hosting the odd party now and again so keep checking our website for any info and also for new dj mixes as
the site will be still up and running !
Martin C is the man and brainchild behind Savaged so it goes without saying that he is gonna be playing this one. He has spent his time with Savaged playing not only at his own events but holding residencies and playing at some of the biggest nights in Yorkshire, Housewives Choice, Glasshouse, Bounce and v14gra to name a few. He has also seen many rising stars go through the Savaged doors from GRH, Steve O'Brady, The Tidy dj's and our resident Cookie. Expect a classic savaged set from these times to be banged out to the highest standard !
Kid Rich has been a Savaged regular for almost all of Savaged and a resident for the last 3 years. He has taken a turn to the harder side in the past 18 months so we can look forward to some hard but uplifting stuff with that trademark POP POP POP!
Also we have Mark E-lee stepping up to the decks. Mark is fast becoming a producer in demand as well as a dj after working with or remixing for names such as Darrell White, Random But Raw and Twisted Psycho, his current tune Have One More is charting high on Trackitdown.net! we may have a bit of a production special on our hands with this one featuring plenty of new bounce stuff from his new spring loaded label !
Savaged resident geek Mosswah is also with us for this special party. We have seen Mosswah go from playing his first set at Savaged to being someone to look forward to seeing. His technical mixing has developed to one of a high standard and his love of all kinds of hard dance means he always has something to get you stomping !
Martin C would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has had a hand in making Savaged what it has been over the years, special mention goes to Fran original co founder, Dave without who we would literally have got nowhere, Linda his inspiration and the original savaged bad boys Tony H, Chris G and Warna, also Kid Rich,
Mosswah, Mark E-Lee, Norris, Cookie, Jme C, Brucey ash, Gooderz, Mad Will, all past and present residents and all the guests dj's and of course, the Savaged crowd it would not have been the same without you !
