Hello Roelof, how are you?
Isaac:
Very good! thank you.
Harder Timez are having their 2nd Birthday on the 1st of August and you are 1 of the main headliners. Hardstyle is more popular in Holland and to some people in England is still fairly new. Can you give us a brief insight in to what people can expect of you?
Isaac:
First of all I have to say that I am happy that a few promoters are
bringing hardstyle in the UK now.
I never understood why it never happened since harder sounds always
have been popular in the UK.
What can you expect... well all deejays kind of have their own style.
I will give them the Isaac-sound! I am always trying to bring
something different.

Have you ever played in England before?
Isaac:
Yes, a few times. Actually 3 times in the last 2 months. I loved it.
The UK crowd always gives you lots of energy.
What is your thoughts that make a good party?
Isaac:
Defenitely the crowd. It just keeps you going. When the crowd goes wild, I do.
Going all over the world, can you pin point any of your favourite gigs you have played?
Isaac:
I love the places where hardstyle is kind of new like South Africa,
Australia, South America.
You get so much appreciation from the crowd. That is a great feeling.
Of course gigs like Qlimax Qbase and Defqon are amazing to play on.
Also known as a leading producer, can you tell us of any new releases you have and where people can get your music from?
Isaac:
My latest production is called 'The Afterworld'. I am not sure whether
it will be released or not since it contains a sample from Prince's
'Let's go crazy'.
Most of my tracks are available on beatport.com. It's a great download
portal where you also can get .wav files instead of mp3's which I
prefer.
Amsterdam is quite a popular place for the British population. Mainly for its renowned cafe's with their menu's.... What do you think to their selection in these menu's or is this not open for discussion?
Isaac:
Haha! I am totally not into that. People always think it's weird that
I don't smoke since it's legal but I kind of am a health-freak;)
At playing in so many country's across the world, for example the night before you play in England your playing in Greece, how do you think Hardstyle has developed in the last 5/10 years?
Isaac:
Amazingly! So many countries actually have a hardstyle scene now. The
scene is still growing.

What music were you in to before you discovered Hardstyle?
Isaac:
My first hardcore record came out in 1995. I stopped doing hardcore in
2000. After that I produced some club, trance etc. I didn't 'discover'
hardstyle because that name didn't excist yet. First it was called
hardtrance or hardhouse. It just slowly turned into what is called '
hardstyle'
Is their any other artists you seem to bump in to on your global travels?
Isaac:
Many times. I made friends with many deejays because of these trips.
Is their any place you haven't played that you would really like to?
Isaac:
Brazil... Don't ask me why;)
What do you think the biggest size crowd is that you have played to before?
Isaac:
That must have been Qlimax or Defqon.
In your career as a Producer/DJ who would you say has influenced you on your way?
Isaac:
That defenitely is Ben Liebrand. Ben was (and still is) a
remixer/producer when I was young. He was the reason for me to buy my
first equipment.
What are your Top 5 favourite tunes at this current present time?
Isaac:
1. D-Block & S-Te-Fan - Total Eclipze
2. Activator - June
3. Technoboy - Oh My God
4. Brennan Heart - FIYD (Blademasterz DFQN Rmx)
5. Zany - Thugs (Noisecontrollers remix)

Any Tips for any producers who are really pushing to get a break through?
Isaac:
Be original. Create your own sound.
Any worst moments you can think of when things have just gone wrong for you?
Isaac:
Life has treated me pretty good so far;)
Bit of a random question here, but have you ever been Dutch window shopping?
Isaac:
