Are you guys serious? Because it's pretty shitty if it really is eighteen and older.
Sure there are a lot of 15 year olds, but what about the 17 year olds? 18 isn't that much different.

If this rave is going to be 18 and older, it's going to be bullshit, no offense.

It has to do with a change in state curfew laws. Raves in general will in fact be more elaborate with far better talent.

Imagine Shiny Toy Guns as a headliner. It would sell out AREA at 18+.. with no cuddle puddles, half naked girls or liability.

they couldnt care less about anyones opinions on this.

I get where a lot of people are coming from. Hella young girls running around half naked and all the druggies not dancing. But I'm seventeen and love raving, I have for a while because I love to dance all night! My friends and I have alll been looking forward to this rave and all of a sudden, it turns out that the warehouse is now eighteen and older. No doubt the crowed will be better but it sucks for all us 17 year olds that go to dance, not to roll balls on drugs!

welll think about it this way, yeah, your 17 now so your almost 18 and then you'll be allowed to go.
and if parties are 18+ they'll be more fun! so you'll miss out on a little fun till your legal but they'll be SOOO much better once you can go =)

hey everyne this is silent j the promoter for the dark knight, i just want to clear some things up on here as well as give you guys some updates as well!

first off it is true about the 18+ rumors going around but its not just for the 5th ave warehouse its for the whole state. the state is trying to stop tue raves altogether. im sure you all have heard about area phoenix being shut down temporarily. mostly because of the sprinklers being non existent and the handicapped access not being up to fire code. but they will re open soon.

now for the solution to the problem, believe me when i say that my crew and myself are working to find any solution to this slight dilemma that is possible. the following may be possibilities:

16 and up only, but with exceptions, possibly a written note from the parents that we can keep up front if the police do arrive.
or
16 and up only up to a certain point (meaning midnight or 1130) and we offer a discount to all 16- 17 year olds at the door and we open a hour early so there is more for them to enjoy.

or it has been suggested to do a lockout party, meaning that if you are under 18 you are required to stay till 5 or 6 am when the curfew law lifts so that you do not get a curfew violation.

all of these option may not be desirable for some or all, the biggest problem the police have is the scantilly dressed underaged kids going to parties and leaving them on drugs dressed that way at one in the morning. this does indeed hurt our scene as it calls the attention of the police every weekend.

Silent Unspoken ENtertainment Crew takes pride in our events and our massive efforts to theme each event as much as possible. but our efforts are futile if we do this alone. we must do things as a community not a scene to keep this alive and keep the PLURR alive. thats right i said PLURR not PLUR Peace Love Unity Respect and RESPONSIBILITY.
we will do our best to make this event happen without problems or law breaking. but everyone else must also do thier part to protect our beloved community. otherwise these events will die.

this day has been coming for some time. maybe now you all will listen to those of us who are old enough to understand the seriousness of the situation.

dont get me wrong im all for expression of your inner selves but cant we all just do it responsibly or in a way where it doesnt sacrifice the place we love to go to every weekend?? i dont know about u guys but a rave is my day of peace on the weekends where i can play music and watch a bunch of ppl rock out to the same tracks i do. the tracks that when i listen to it, it makes me wanna get so funky i cant stand still! its my place of zen! lol im not hating on anyone, but in the society we live in we are forced to follow rules sometimes stupid sometimes rediculous but remember, the state doesnt like us or what we do. why? becuase they think we promote this behavior and they think we stand on stage and throw pills and little baggies into the crowd or something stupid. they stereotype us. we are fighting to stay alive. i dont mean to preach lol but think of this. do we really wanna actually prove ourselves every weekend that we are what they think we are? if we wanna keep it strong some things can be more of a hindrance than help .

ya yall i come from dallas tx and once i got here its so different havin a bunch of lil kids runnin around not really knowin what the fuck theyre doin...in tx its all 18+ and much more intense so more power to 18+ honestly
