What's the difference? Less kandi, more mardi gras beads?

I ask respectfully.

Their look does not come simply from their attire.
It's in their eyes, their spirit; they LOVE raving, for raving. It's in their honest smiles, the gentle body language. Ravers are supposed to be real people, more than happy to embrace themselves and everyone else for exactly who they are, on the inside. Ravers are supposed to be people of empathy, capable of caring for others before themselves, and giving more than what they take from the scene. Ravers are supposed to be all for one and one for all, for then it truly would be a blissful community; and, as there is beauty in every soul, it just isn't logical to deny that dream coming true. True PLUR. (Don't add that silly extra 'R,' responsibility is included in respect - having respect for yourself and those that can be affected by your actions.)

Obviously, "PLUR," is an ideal that can easily be realized by all. One cannot claim "PLUR is dead," because it is so simply an idea. To imply that something is "dead," implies that it has an ending. You cannot kill an idea. Ravers are supposed to embody such ideals, for raving in itself can be a beautiful demonstration of peace, love, unity, and respect, that this world so rarely sees, yet is in so desperately of need.

Can you get all that from this picture? That vibe, that feeling? To which I can only answer, well, you probably have to have already felt it first.

Of course, I wouldn't expect anyone who doesn't understand raving to understand anything of what I just wrote, either.

I was wondering about the difference Clix saw between the thread's picture and his picture. That attitude you're talking about can be felt equally in both pictures.

ecko crop tops... breakdown gear... kikwear and jnco.. caffeine and ufo... and not bracelets up to their elbows... raving dont come from beads :-P but arianna pretty much hit the nail on the head with her post... a lot of kids show up for reasons other than music and community... but because of the open acceptance of the rave community.. we should accept them as well... because we know they'll be gone to their next abomination ne ways.
