DJ ICEY is a staple in the world of Dance Music ! This man is known by many to be the BIGGEST name in breakbeats in the US ! Catch his mix shows on XM and SIRIUS satellite radio !

Rising to worldwide prominence out of the fertile Orlando Florida electronic music scene which has spawned the likes of AK 1200,Kimball Collins, Jimmy Van M, Chris Fortier, and Baby Anne, Icey cut his teeth at the legendary EDGE nightclub in the mid-90s, and even persuaded The Chemical Brothers to play their first show Stateside there. When The Edge closed in 1996, DJ Icey hit the road… and has stayed on it since.

Icey runs two Indie labels dedicated to the Breaks he loves, the Main imprint Zone Records released it's first 12 Inch single in 1994, “Energy Tracks Volume 1” quickly followed by the hard to find “Encyclopedia Funktanica” both of these records gained a cult following worldwide as there was nothing quite like it at the time. Zone Records continues releasing more than a dozen records a year and his second label Tree Records follows very closely behind with slightly more eccentric productions. Discovered for the punters by BBC Radio 1 DJ and longtime A&R kingpin Pete Tong, Icey became the first American producer to sign to his U.S. ffrr label in 1997 as an artist thanks to Pete and U.S. Honcho Neil Harris, He was the first American DJ to be selected to record a prestigious "Essential Mix" for U.S. Release. With over 200 12” singles under his production belt and 5 cd releases, Icey has SoundScanned over 300,000 CD units in North America alone.

Playing 100+ gigs per year, Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesn’t keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks for his Indie Labels Zone and Tree records, constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dancefloor. The new material is then cut on dub plates and tested out on weekend gigs: “There is nothing better than finishing a tune and seeing the reaction from a crowded dancefloor right after finishing it! "

Producer of “Sandstorm” the # 1 selling Dance Music track of ALL time!

Darude’s (Finnish DJ/artist/producer Ville Virtanen) grand entrance into the
music industry came in 1999, when he slipped a demo CD to one of his idols,
acclaimed Finnish dance producer, Jaakko ‘JS16’ Salovaara. Jaakko immediately
snatched up Darude and signed him to his own label, 16 Inch Records. The two
hit the studio together to put the final touches on the demo Darude had handed
to Jaakko. The result of this studio time would be a track that would
eventually spread to every corner of the world; that track was “Sandstorm”.

Once “Sandstorm” was out, it took the world by storm. It started in Darude’s
home country, Finland, where it went directly to #1 on the Finnish Dance Chart;
a spot that it would dominate for 17 weeks. Its next stop would be the UK,
where Neo Records would snap up the track after coming across it on the
internet. In June 2000, Darude became the first Finnish artist ever to reach
the top 3 positions on the UK singles chart.

“Sandstorm” went on to sell Platinum in Scandinavia & Ireland and Gold in the UK
& Germany which led to it being the world’s best selling 12” vinyl of 2000. The
world-wide sales of “Sandstorm” to date is about 1,5 - 2 million units. The
second single “Feel The Beat” went immediately to #1 on the Finnish Dance Chart,
the UK Club Chart, Mixology Dance Chart, UK and the Australian Dance Chart.
Altogether is conquered the Top 3 in ten countries around the world.

The success of these two singles led to the release of Darude’s debut album,
“Before The Storm.” This album would go on to sell double Platinum in Finland
and Gold in Canada. Its world-wide sales to date are between 600 000 - 800 000
units.

Darude comes equipped with banging tracks and undeniable energy, ready to stimulate
clubbers around the world with his signature DJ style of progressive and uplifting melodic
trance with the occasional tech, house or breaks injection. Darude has been voted onto such
renowned charts as The DJ Mag's Top 100 list (UK), BPM Magazine's America's Favorite DJ list 2004
& 2005, and gained a top position in The DJ List.com's chart, showing not only his skills as a DJ, but his ability to captivate the the crowd with his passionate performances.
