Shouldn't there be more "peaceful" EDM at Earthdance?
Nothing against people who like hardcore, hhc, electro and house, I'm just wondering if there is going to be any real trance, psytrance, more ambient edm or even dnb Saturday night? I stayed until midnight before I didn't feel like waiting around anymore. I couldn't really stay up until 5am to hear Spyder unfortunately.

So does anyone know of anything more refined or intelligent tonight? Something that strikes a little closer to emotion rather than cheap EDM people can fist pump to? I feel like most trance and house dj sets in Phoenix speed up the tempo of all their shit just so people's meth brains can be satisfied.

Sorry if you think I'm an asshole. But for anyone that is reading about this and actually knows the line up, please recommend people to keep an ear out for tonight

Its to bad you didnt stay man. Main Stage had a lot of techy style trance on it later in the night.
I know when TURNER & HEIT went on it sounded beautiful... I was on the dirt assasins stage at 4:30am-6am and i played Tech Trance, and Electro Trance.....and it wasnt pitched up at all....it was a solid 132-134 BPM range.....There wasnt alot of ppl there during my set....but those who were there definatley enjoyed my sunrise set.....also after I got done spyder was still spinning so i got to catch the last couple tracks by him.....and again VERY BEAUTIFUL.....

You cannot expect to be rewarded with peaceful experiences if you cannot show peace and compassion to those who choose to seek their own peace through methods which are incomprehensible to you.

I don't think so but I'm sure that the amount of psychedelics I had last night took about five years off my lifespan.

I think perhaps the word you are looking for is "uplifting," not peaceful. Unless someone's initiating force or violence against someone while playing said music, it's technically peaceful.

haha funny replies.

We should all live life with tolerance and acceptance of other people. But when I'm paying to see a more intelligent festival, I have some expectations. We go to these events to hopefully have a good time, and each one of us has our own preconceptions on how a rave should be.

In any case, I had so much fun the second night. Party because I met a really cool friend from the town I'm from, and also because I enjoyed the music a lot that night.

It is just a little frustrating when you go to raves in Phoenix and most of them are not fun (for me, obviously). I go for the music, and I get tired of hard genres. I wasn't looking for something extremely ambient, more so stuff that is a little more groovy rather then smash your fucking brain repetitive beats. But if you want to see the way I imagined Earth Dance, look at some of the pictures from other ED events around the country. They were ENTIRELY different. Phoenix has a strong focus on limited amounts of music. Kandi and hard genres are running this scene, and it is annoying when they infiltrate events that have Buddhist monks speaking at them.
