From the dark depths and underworld of TEL AVIV ,ISRAEL comes SHEKEL who has crafted his very own unique style of the genre of dubstep...Eyal Davidi made his first steps towards music production at the age of 15. From producing Hip-Hop beats in his room, he moved to the dark side of dubstep, releasing his first EP on Basspunch called "Mind Fragments" in 2010. The new sound he brought to the genre got alot of attention from people in the scene, and the interest in israeli based producers got bigger with big names like Tomba and Borgore. By the end of 2010 Shekel's name grew bigger with several releases and tracks, like "Slaughter VIP" on Sick Slaughterhouse (featuring 4 remixes), "Blowin Up" Remix for electro artist Sawgood, and the chart topping track "Smokin' Blunts & Makin' Cream" featuring israeli rap legend Nechi Nech released on PrimeDub records. As of 2011 Shekel has continued his line of nasty sound, featuring a track on the epic Chronos Records "Farmville EP", hip hop producers in israel. Louk is proving his worth as one of the bright young talents of the scene, having achieved a fair amount of success in a rather short time, and being described as someone who 'plays like a maniac'. A man who hardly ever sleeps, this is demonstrated by his productions, gigs, promotion, reviews, and an all round dedication for the sinister blend of trance and techno that he has become famed for.Despite hailing from England, he has a very distinct European sound and loves to play a mash up of Hard Trance and Techno in his sets, basing a love of these genres on a sound he heard at an illegal outdoor rave in a quarry near Exeter in 2002, at the age of 16, all wide eyed and dribbling. This has resulted in bookings at for events such as Q-Base (Airport Weeze), Defqon 1 (Almere), HTID (Sydney Olympic Showground), Damage Control (Canberra), Tunnel (Hamburg), Lexion (Holland), Slammin Vinyl, North Technology, Rectify, Hard Definition, Uprising, Overload, Global Meltdown, Bionic, Premonition and many more. He also regularly plays for Hostile (Newcastle), Atmosphere (Seaton), and Hindsight (Exeter) and held a residency for Eyecon @ Dance Academy in his hometown of Plymouth before it was closed down in 2006.No stranger to the studio, he has over 50 productions and remixes on many leading labels accross Europe with the likes of Druck, Naked Lunch, Detox, German Trance, Drizzly, Tidy, Audio Surgery, Joyride, Nukleuz, Hindsight, Friction, Excessive, Dataless, Trance NRG, Digitally Infected, V-Trax and numerous others all releasing his material. Having been classically trained as a musician since age 3, T.A.I. has been constantly immersed in music. Inspired by the underground punk artists in Reading and Philadelphia, T.A.I. is frequently seen playing his self-built, custom Fender Stratocaster guitar during his sets that are mixed and created purely on Ableton-enabled live hardware.
