I didn't pay into my GI bill long enough to get the rewards from it. You have to pay in for 24 months now, before you can touch it... And I don't want loans from the government. I don't even want to get a credit card because I don't want to owe anyone anything. Ever.

well, you can grind it out and take ten years to pay for your own education, or you can take out a student loan and let someone else.

and spend those same 10 years paying someone else back

i had one... for like 5 months. and i went like $800 into debt before my parents paid it off for me and confiscated it.

you have to see it as an investment.

with a hs diploma, you can earn $15k - $30k a year.

with a bachelors or masters, you can earn $40k - $70k a year.

if you take out a student loan of $40k and earn your bachelors degree,
youre gonna increase your earning potential by $10k - $20k a year.

add that up over the course of 30 to 40 years,
im pretty sure the college loan will pay for itself in 2-3 years

WOW, i didnt realize that this many people were in the military that raved... the funny thing is more people accept me for being in the army at a rave than when i am in the airport... to me that is amazing:]
