After highly successful full length and DJ mix CDs for OM Records, Kaskade rose to prominence out of the legendary San Frandisco House scene that produced such luminaries as Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Jay-J, and Andy Caldwell. His "Steppin' Out" single earned Kaskade recognition far beyond the dance music scene, thanks in no small part to its heavy radio play and commercial licensing, as well as being named to the annual "Top Ten Singles" list by Entertainment Weekly.
