this is fucking RIDICULOUS!@!

i didn't even know all that drama was going on because i danced all night, and when i wasn't dancing. i was outside MEETING people. or chatting it up with some happy friends. :)

i didn't even know fights went down till someone TOLD me

proving, that if you DANCE and stay away from negative vibes, you can prevent drama from happening.
or if maybe fucking people will mature a little bit then we can go back to the way things weree

i haven't even been raving for that long and i can see what's happening
it's pathetic.

it's also pathetic that people make it all about the drugs
my first rave, i didn't even know what rolling meant.... it was a great time.
but i took my friend to her first one the other day. and she taught herself that a good way to start a conversation is by going "are you rollin"
i was so upset. ;(

actually the scene has a double 2 year cycle, you notice things changing after 2 years and then 2 years after it is completely different, and the scene dies every four years, Date Line then four years later Bloodfest, and then there are all the lil things that happend

I agree that there should be an age limit of if not 18+ then 16+ cause it is usually the little kids that start stuff. I love going to raves for the music and the people but when things get out of hand the staff throwing the gig should enforce the rules. Have like a holding area with a big glass wall so that everyone passing by could see who ever is in there then we can point and laugh. Maybe then when they are ridiculed will all this drama stop.

That really blows. I was completely looking forward to villains vs heroes. I haven't been able to make it to any other ones recently, though I've really tried. And if I didn't make it to another phx rave, I could say that I made it to at least this one. Villains blew my mind and I knew this one would too. But its whatever I guess. :-/

I know, I know just joshing. It would be amazing to go raving over yonder too many attitudes in clubs in U.K only like the free party vibe.

HAHAHAHA. :)

Unfortunately there is a huge difference between the people who party with "favors" in the uk and those here. In the UK people still dance and go bananas. Its almost impossible not to dance over there. I have tried to stop and people come up to me and make me keep bouncing along with them. Here.. people prefer to sit on the ground in huge puddles, rub each other, and have no idea that music is actually playing.. who the dj is, etc.

I don't think the drugs would be such a factor here if people didn't come solely for that reason. If they came for the djs and music first, and the drugs as just an added bonus. AND didnt roll around cluelessly in a puddle of gross.

I'm not sure all of you saw it, so here it is. This is what James (Rize) posted after the events @ HTID Rewind:

i don't feel like last night was as success. The purpose of the show was to thank Arizona for the support they have given us over the past few years and hopefully see that they appreciated it.

There were lots of people there. But so many things happened that showed me the worst in our ravers. Not all of you.. just a few who are fucking it all up. The problem is that those few have grown significantly in numbers over the past 18 months or so. People aren't looking out for each other, starting fights, not acting responsibly with regards to chemical intake, and trying to take advantage of the people who were just trying do something nice for them.

Now you're probably wondering what all of this means... Well... Best of Times and Hardcore Jedi taking a break. Were canceling Heroes vs Villains on August 30 and Blue Harvest on Sept 19. The reasons listed above are my own so please dont think I would speak for Hardcore Jedi as far as their motives are concerned.

We are going to focus to focus on DJing and producing for a while and just see how things play out here over the next few months. If it starts looking better, we will do another Kandieland... if not... well... just thinking about it breaks my heart.

Last night was done to show you that we aren't about money. We do it for the love of the music and the love of what we know our community can be and has been before. But right now, I feel that our "community" has turned into a "scene".. If you don't understand what that means , then you might want to take a second to look at yourself see where you fit in here.

Peace,
James Rize
Best of Times

---

Maybe... just maybe... things will turn around. I would hate to be without another Kandieland...

i want to be a villain vs a hero >:[
i didnt get to go to htid rewind i was at dark lotus [orgasm]
i tried very hard to go
but if i had gone i wouldve been dancing all night
thats what raves are for
dancing
music
friends

take your drugs at home
yeah ok raves are to be free and accepted
but when things start getting shut down
fights start occuring
that is straight up ridiculous

i believe there should be an age limit
bc these younguns dont seem to be able to handle this "freedom" to do what they want
so they go overboard and fuck it for everyone else

changes do need to be made
but no ones making them its just a bunch of talk that happens after every rave that ends sour
but after the good raves no one says a thing
idk seems like we talk about this type of thing
as much as we talk about the lil minors running around nakey :x
