Data Panic presents
BINARY - Cleveland's new monthly club night:
w/ Vincent Casanova

Always in full pursuit of his mission to elevate stripped down dance sounds into the big rooms and to extend the idea of music as a journey, Vincent Casanova has been busy as of late. The year 2005 saw both Vincent’s relocation from NYC to Sweden and the birth of his label Subtropical Records. The summer of 2006 culminated with Vincent performing at the legendary Love Parade in Berlin along side Pheek, Eloi Brunelle, T-Polar and others from Montreal's Epsilonlab label - to an estimated crowd of 1 million people. Several releases have already been made in 2007 and a highly anticipated EP on Canada's Archipel label is due in the Fall.

Carving out a new niche in the worldwide dance scene isn’t easy, but he's got his eye on this prize and is quickly rising to prominance! After catching the ears of Sifted Recordings’ DJ EBAR while playing in Manhattan’s lower east side back in 2004, Vincent’s quest began with his first 12” release "RAINFOREST" that would go on to become one of Techhouselist.org’s best reviewed releases of 2004. This synthetic, smooth, tech/house hybrid EP would be the first incarnation of Vincent’s sound: subtle, nonchalant, intelligently drum focused and musically cohesive at once.

Since that time Vincent has been steadily releasing music for labels such as Epsilonlab, Germany’s 2600 as well as for his own label Subtropical. Remixes and netlabel appearances have also been completed for Poland’s Site Recordings, Spain’s Flumo and Greece’s Digilog as well as a "Liebe ist Cool" remix for Canada’s Archipel.

Life in Europe is a continued source of inspiration for Vincent, whose artistic development and DJ expeditions are always seeking out those in need of a soundtrack for their voyage into the future. Vincent’s exotic and lavish minimalism is especially spectacular during his renowned journey-like, marathon sets.
