"Posh and enormous dance club is a luxurious addition to the downtown nightlife scene. The Scene: The M Bar is Houston's bid for international social acclaim; a place where A-listers and celebrities mingle. Architect Issac Preminger has created a space that blends the decadent ambience of a lavish sitting room and a chic hotel lobby. Massive floor to ceiling sheer curtains drape across Grecian columns, effectively sectioning off the main floor while adding depth and privacy. The Draw: This is one of the few downtown clubs that can persuade Houston's chic elite to wade through the detritus of Main Street in their Dolce & Gabbana shoes. The DJs begin with a sensual mix of nu-lounge, and progress into funky house before capping it off with a chest-thumping mix of deep house anthems.
