Well Neko Raivu has passed and gone. It was quite fun. Almost everyone I hoped to have been there, was there, except the majority of the ravers I was hoping to pull in. Somewhere in advertising, a ton of people showed up that had no idea what a rave was, and got a little pissy at the fact there was nothing but electronic music... And since there was no age limit a lot of other people left because they only wanted to be a part of their age group. Long story short, it missed the target audience.

Another sucky thing was the Dj's deck started malfunctioning in the beginning of the set. The Djs worked with what they could, but the mixing didn't go quite as smoothly as it could have. However music taste, I felt, was rather nice. It was very rangey, it started off with Electro, then went to Tech Trance, to Trance,... to Breakcore (I kid you not)... to UK Hardcore, to Hardstyle, to Hardcore, to J-Core, and onto Neo-Speedcore for the finale. 4 Hour set with no breaks at all. It didn't get recorded, the Djs are working to recreate the playlist and recorded that on a working set to at least give an idea what was played there for future reference. A fair amount of people wanted a copy of what was played.

Despite the low attendance, (137 people), all the ravers who showed up, seemed to very much enjoy what Ruben Divine, Ac3k, and [Dark] Ragnarok put on for them, and hope to see another event like this soon, just with the cleaned up atmosphere. Sadly a lot of people were scattered on the floor and being a bit anti social. It wasn't all bad... during the Hardstlye section a group formed up to watch the shufflers for awhile.

Anyways, the event coordinators are working to fix all the mistakes and will bring a more promising event sometime in the future.
