Since opening its doors on 21st September 1991 as an alcohol-free venue dedicated to house music, London's Ministry of Sound has gone on to become arguably the world's most famous club. Ministry is now a multimedia entertainment brand, which takes in TV, radio, consumer goods and the Ministry of Sound record label. A wide range of external and in-house promotions have dictated the music policy at Ministry's Elephant & Castle base down the years, with everything from house and garage through to trance, techno and electro house being pushed at the club.
