RS xx ★ GROUND FLOOR [ROCKIT SCIENCE] Disco / House / Electro / Boogie / Balearic ♬ BILL BREWSTER [Lowlife / DJ History] - exclusive 3 hour set! The ultimate DJ’s DJ, Bill has quite the following through his Lowlife parties, DJ History Podcasts, Mixmag articles and the brilliant books he has written including the essential ‘How To DJ Properly’ that taught us almost everything we know. First guesting at our Summer Party a few years back, we’ve been itching to get Bill back after he played one of the best sets we’ve ever had the pleasure to host. Witness a master in action! ♬ JAMES FOX [NeedWant / Quintissentials / Futureboogie] James Fox is a producer and DJ currently based in Bristol, UK. His early 12"s on the likes of TAKE Records and Well Rounded Housing Project combined the jack and groove of deep house with the bass pressure of the UK underground and in doing so found their way into the boxes of respected DJs and selectors across several genres. Follow up releases for Futureboogie (including the massive ‘Work That Body’) and 2020 Midnight Visions alongside fellow Bristol residents Behling & Simpson established him as a producer committed to finding new ways of approaching house music. ♬ RICK GRANT [Take] Rick Grant is a D.J, Producer and one third of TAKE Records, who have released music from Bearweasel, Consequence, Eliphino, Locked Groove and Simoncino, to name a few. Rick's deejaying is about finding common elements across a variety of styles which has seen him appear as a regular fixture at London's Fabric for several years. While his production looks to combine the aesthetics of house and techno with the rhythmic elasticity of the UK underground. ♬ c o l l I n s 3 0 3 [Radio 303] In 1987 an acid house crazed DJ was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn’t commit. He promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the East London old skool underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a DJ of fortune. If you need a party rocked, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire the 303. ♬ DJ RYU [Rockit Science] Promoter & DJ, Ryu has booked & played alongside Massive Attacks' Daddy G, Portisheads Andy Smith, Bill Brewster, Cut La Roc, Psychemagik, Midfield General, Deadly Avenger, Leo Zero, Mighty Mouse, FC Kahuna, Leftside Wobble, Cosmonauts, Punks Jump Up, Normski, The C90s, Mojo Filter and Dean Sunshine Smith. Ryu has been DJing for 10+ years and plays everything from funk, soul, boogie & balearic to disco, house, electro & techno with a healthy dose of remixes, re-edits & secret weapons to keep every dancefloor going all night long. In 2014 Ryu relocated to sunny Bristol and continues to push the Rockit Science sound with residencies at Big Chill, Kongs, Mr Wolfs, 51 and guest sets at local super club Motion. ♬ STEVE BRENNAN (Mills & Boom!) Steve is a DJ both in his own right and as one half of Mills & Boom! House, techno and a little bit of everything else are the order of the day... Steve has been tearing up dance floors at venues and nights that include Gallery @ Ministry of Sound (London), Egg (London), Judgement Sundays (Ibiza), Cream UK Tour, Savannah's (Ibiza), Echo Boat Parties (London), Lightbox (London), The Rhythm Factory (London), Orange Corner (Ibiza), to name but a few. ♬ DELLAMORTE [Barricade Radio] A London party veteran of 18 years, Dellamorte has been involved in too many genres and scenes to mention. A founder member of long running breakbeat night Rock Steady, owner of alternative dance music station Barricade radio, and former member of electronica act Codex Machine, Dellamorte focuses these days on deep house and cosmic disco, but can't resist dipping his toes into other genres on occasion! ★ FIRST FLOOR [WE, LIKE YOU] Funk n Soul / Reggae / Hip-Hop / Breaks / Freestyle ♬ ANDY SMITH [ex Portishead / The Document] - exclusive 3 hour set! Back by dope demand – quite literally! Andy brought the (Big Chill) house down at our last birthday party so it was a no brainer to invite him back for round 2. Perhaps best known for his involvement with Trip-Hop legend’s Portishead, he’s a force to be reckoned with in his own right, releasing many great records and Mix CDs including The Document series which was an inspiration for the Rockit Science sound from the very beginning. We can’t wait to hit the dance-floor for his set! ♬ MOJO FILTER [Secret Garden Party / Artful Badger / AOR] Producer, Performer & Curator of all things tripped-out and retro. Filtering and reviving '60s and '70s mojo with psychedelic twistings of Disco, House and Techno. Mojo Filter tempers these sacred tools of groove to evoke a kaleidoscopic myriad of heady dancefloor adventures. Purveyor of heady vibes and ceremonial jibes from sundown to sunrise to sundown to sunrise. + SIR FUNK [Funk n Soul Club / We Like You] Long standing Funk and Soul Club residents, these shadowy, mysterious funkster creatures are a dab hand at keeping the dancefloor revellers on the good foot! ♬ COUNTRY COCKNEY (Supafunk) Formerly half of Breakbeat DJ legends AWE Soundsystem, Country Cockney is still relentlessly wowing the masses with his jaw-dropping blend of musical mastery and funny faces. With a belief that 'if it's good, it gets played' regardless of age, genre or cheese-factor, you can always guarantee that no matter where or when this DJ gets on the decks he'll always ensure that he finishes with a satisfied dance floor and a phat set of anthems ringing in the ears. ♬ DTism (Armitage Skanks) When he isn’t being felt up by Russell Brand or recording sounds for other people, Doug “DTism” “Truckerhobbit” Templeton likes nothing better than taking the funkiest beats and expertly stitching them together by channelling the power of his impressive beard. Expect Funk/Soul/RareGroove/Reggae/Hip-hop/Bass & and a few other bits and bobs.
