In late 2010, The Nest opened in an intimate, 350 capacity basement in Dalston. With the aim to create a new clubbing space focused on progressive electronic music, with forward thinking line-ups, quality sound and a captivating atmosphere, the creative minds behind the venue set to work on achieving just that.

Installing a huge Martin Audio soundsystem and minimal lighting designed to take control of the neo-industrial style and intimate dancefloor, The Nest is home to some of the most prolific club nights in London. From Chase and Status’ raucous, bass heavy MTA Records parties, to Scandalism’s monthly residency and the new Saturday night Lemonade, which showcases the best in live and DJ led electro/indie/disco, the quality programming never disappoints. Promising cheap entry prices for in-house events put together by The Nest’s creative team as well as the monthly residencies, The Nest provides forward-thinking, exciting events accessible to everyone.

As boss of Swamp81, Loefah can boast a status one of the UK’s most important and influential figureheads. Starting out in the same dubstep circles as Skream and Mala, Loefah has been inextricably tied to the evolution of UK dance music and its different strands of house, techno and bass over the last five years. Alongside him will be "Godfather of Grime" and co-founder of Rinse Fm, Sllimzee. Now with a large collection of associates with Swamp, Loefah’s stock has never been higher, and his date at The Nest is a rare chance to catch such a high profile DJ in the smaller surroundings of our Dalston basement.

    Fri 12 December at 09:00pm until Sat 13 December 2014 at 04:00am

Duncan Beiny aka DJ Yoda is no ordinary scratch DJ. His seminal How To Cut & Paste series showcased a tongue-in-cheek mixing style that prompted Q Magazine to declare him “one of the ten DJs to see before you die”, whilst Hip Hop Connection voted him “one of the top three DJs in the world”. From hip-hop beginnings, DJ Yoda has evolved in the past ten years, using his turntable skills and diverse influences as varied as Funk, B-more, Kuduro, Reggae, Drum ‘n’ Bass and even Big Band Swing and Country & Western to make unashamed party music. He can be found cutting the Indiana Jones theme with woofer-worrying Dubstep or The Muppet Theme with MIA. His shows are peppered with Film, TV and YouTube samples and visuals that lift his sets to new and stratospheric heights. In support comes Soulection's own Hannah Faith.

  5. New Years Eve...ONEMAN + TASKER + YASMIN + JON RUST image

    Wed 31 December at 09:00pm until Thu 01 January 2015 at 04:00am

It’s a great pleasure to announce Oneman will head our New Years Eve celebrations. One of the biggest dates on our calendar, we can’t wait to have the London-native play this NYE homecoming show. Having risen through the ranks of the city’s pirate radio culture, Oneman’s bass-driven blend of everything from grime, UK Funky and garage to house and hip-hop will no doubt give 2014 a suitably raucous send-off.
