First of all, I would like to say that for me Exit was brilliant festival and I had really great time in Novi Sad!

My highlights:
- Roger Sanchez set (and Frankie Knuckles warm up)
- Prodigy - best act on main stage
- Justin Martin, Paul Woolford and Marco Nastic - nice and interesting acts
- 2 guys hanging on "construction for light" on the dance arena while Marko Nastic set (*)
- nice weather
- people & atmosphere
- day parties on the beach
- 40% strangers this year (15.000 from uk... wow...)

Lowlights:

- higher prices for strangers
- waiting for Snoop Dogg apperance
- John Digweed and Eric Pryds - biggest disappointments
- 2 young english guys kissing in front of me while Roger Sanchez set (*)

The festival totally gave me my faith in trance back! I just found a lot of the stuff being played really boring and didn't go anywhere :S
The Prodigy were amazing, as were a few of the main stage acts. Hannah Holland was really good. MC sucked big time though.
Glad I went, just don't think I'd go back next year.
(Oh yeah, our friends tent got robbed in the middle of the night and I found loads of the Serbs rude fuckers)

Ok.. I'm sorry to hear that... For me EXIT was great.. Please don't think that coz of some wankers (which exist EVERYWHERE) Serbs are far from rude, we're just passionate about our herritage.

On behalf of all the Serbs that went I have to say "Hvala za sve, ovaj je moj prvi put na EXIT i nastupo sam sa Marko Nastic, za mene bijo do jaja !!"

ENG translation"
Thanks for all, it was my first EXIT and I was performing, for me it was the best !!"

Stufos:

If you looked around you'd have seen that there were some ammazing acts, Trent Moller was unbeleivable whlst Green Velvet really knows how to run a system GOOD !!The crowd were like putty in his hands..

Please try to go back next year, I think it'll be less corporate and the line up will be better. Did you check out my slot of Serbian local superstar DJ Marko Nastic? We played on the DJ Super Star stage on the Friday night, wicked vibe, heavy sets from all the DJ's... I'll let you know whn I get the mixes back and i'l upload them..

Poz,
Darko (Strange Worlds)

I had a great time. Only lowlight i had was the prodigy crowd, we were so pissed off we left and didnt c them, then spent the next 4 nights in the Dance Arena.

apart from that, had a amazing time, On the thurs night Green Velvet and Deepchild were rockin, Green Velvet much better than usual.
Fri night was FANTASTIC! Woolford and Tenaglia were outstanding. Tenaglia doing the robot at the front of the stage was genius.
Sat we didnt make it in, missed the curfew due to drinking with lots of Serbians. We went to a wee local bar, were pretty intimidated at first but when they saw the kilt everyone was very friendly and we went back every night and were behind the bar at one point.
Sun - tunes were a bit of a let down, Digweed and Prytz were baws Nastic was ok, but was expecting better, some of his tune choices were shit.
All in all, was fantastic, Serbian people were nice, weather roastin, amazing venue, great festival! All good!

I thought Deep Child couldn't mix, and he kept doing some silly hand movements when mixing. Nastic played better on the Friday night COCKTA DJ Super Star Stage. My set was good too (not bragging). rent Moller OH MY GOD!! And what about Magda YEIKKESS!!!

Didnt see the hand movements but liked his tunes! Didnt get a chance to hear your set, Trentmoller was ok, didnt think it fitted in with the rest of the night though. But he was sitting in the seat in front of me on the plane over so that was cool.

First exit for me. Have to say it was the messiest 4/5 nights of my life. complete carnage.

Low points. Mate almost being kidnapped by some serbia nutters, bent to revenge on the English for Nato bombing their country. Was just getting put into the back of a van (in the festival) beofre he managed to break free and the police saw what was going on a battered the serbs...... what happpend next confuses me. They then tried to do it to another one of my mates later in the night.... police?? where are you?
other low point- waking up in the medical tent strapped to the bed and iv's comming out of every arm. scary. my fault completely over did the disco producto's alcohol, dehydration and no sleep = convulsions on the floor. missed the 2 people i wanted to see Knuckles and sanchez!! not happy.
did have lunch with a lovelly english couple the next day... oh yeah we saw you unconcious on the floor.... we didnt do anything because we thought you were dancing???? NICE!!
THE TRAIN JOURNEY!!!!
Going into work on tuesday morning
The nightmares the week i got back - again self inflicted.
Highs.
Audio Bully's. Not been a massive fan of them but thought they were awesome.
weather
Nice Serbians that didnt blame me for the war.
dance arena. so many people
Meeting so many random people.
The beach by the campsite.

Awesome week!!

LOL,you had a bit of a time over there mate!!I did find there were some not very nice people around but you do find them everywhere,as for the war...thanks to those who didnt blame you!mentall!I am macedonian myself so people were very nice to us,but yes STAFOS:did witness few horrid coments and people being rude to others. And YES foreigners were charged much more then locals sadly, but those 4 days were money making mashine for the locals.
As for the rest we had fab time, prodigy was the best act,we did get nailed to the fence by the crowd who went crazy and had to clime over the bar b4 we get under peoples feet! But then we clime on the scufolding behind the screen and it was good.Tenaglia was amazing on the dance arena, sanches too!Had fab time on the beach, meeting so many random people, happy people. And sunshining!!!!!!!!!Forgot what that feels like! Will see you all next year again.

Definitely agree with the messiest 4/5 days... it was total carnage. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will 100% be back next yr (with a load more people who are jelous looking at our pics of the dance arena at 7am!)

Highs - Zinc & Friction restoring my faith in D&B, Tenaglia and Fanciulli, Sanchez and all the dj's playing the sun rise sets in the dance arena. cheapness (even though locals got even cheaper!)

Lows - Riot situations popping up on the first night due to e ticket cock up & occasional grief from stroppy serbs (few & far between thankfully)

Thumbs up to all involved!

I had an awesome time at EXIT too, so did all my friends; I think we were still getting over the fact that it was a festival in a fortress overlooking a huge river! haha It got a bit too messy for me so much so that I lost my brand new camera on the first day, and so couldn't take any pcitures for the whole of the weekend, though mates took plenty. Actually was messy for me for most of the time, though things did catch up, and I got a bit tired and emotional on the 3rd day whilst stone cold sober, and so missed most of Sanchez & Bukem, who I heard were fantastic. Dancing till the very end and staying in an apartment in the suburbs meant that we were only able to attend the party on the beach once. Need to drag my mates there more often next time I go.

Don't think we really got cheated on prices by locals except one ridiculous cab ride, NOTE don't grab any taxis waiting by the main exit of the festival site; absolute joker, got charged something near 1200 dinars for a usually 200 dinar ride!!

Yep, mates back home are proper dead jealous; have made it on their list of to dos next year!

had an absolutely amazing time, so many memories that'll stay with me forever. from my experience, there was absolutely nothing to complain about and it was the best festival i've been to :) the music was awesome, really enjoyed the tunes on the beach especially. the sound systems and lighting were quality, the venue amazing, the view from the top on to the dance arena was something else! can't say a bad word against it and cannot wait for next year!
